The American Library Association (ALA), Office for Research and Statistics (ORS) and the Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASCLA), a division of ALA, conducted a survey of library networks and cooperatives in 2006-2007.

The final products of these surveys include a web-based directory of library cooperatives, an online report generator, slide presentations about the project and outcomes, and a final written report including success stories.

The Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASCLA) provides on-going support, encouraging participants from the base study to regularly update their directory information and the data derived from the surveys.

This project is funded in part by a grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and is coordinated by the ALA Office for Research & Statistics (ORS) in collaboration with the Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASCLA).
