Supervise with Success On-Demand Webinar

A Two-Part Webinar Series

PLA On-Demand Webinars logoThink about the greatest bosses you’ve ever known. Hard to believe, but they all started as uncertain, unpolished new supervisors at some point. While it takes a certain type of person to become a great boss, it also takes something else along the way—help. Trust, support, mentoring, training, patience, and modeling are just some of the things new supervisors need to become successful. This two-part on-demand webinar series outlines just how to find that help and use it to achieve growth.

  • Part I examines the basics of leadership and how it differs from task excellence. An expert once said being the boss is all about getting work out of other people. While perhaps true in the larger sense, that’s not as easy as it may sound. Topics covered include vision, attitude, communication style, and effective motivation.
  • Part II focuses more on the nuts and bolts of supervision, including delegation and trust, work flow, goal setting, training and development, and evaluation.

Everyone wants (and deserves) a great boss, right? With the right skills, you can become one!

This archived webinar series was originally presented March 26 and April 2, 2014.

Running time: 2 hours, 1 minute
