Instructors

Peter PearsonPeter Pearson is a lead consultant with Library Strategies and has been president of The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library for twenty-two years.  Pearson is nationally recognized as one of the library community’s most successful fundraising and advocacy experts.

Pearson has been a speaker at national and state conferences on all areas of fundraising and advocacy and has provided consulting services and support to libraries and library organizations throughout the country, and internationally. His work has included feasibility studies and capital campaigns, development planning, creating library foundations, improving Friends and Foundation relationships, advocacy training, and other services that support libraries.

Pearson is one of the authors of the recently published Beyond Book Sales: Raising Real Money for Your Library published by ALA Publications.

Sue HallSue Hall is the director of Library Strategies, and lead consultant for The Friends of the Saint Paul Public Library. Hall has worked with libraries and library organizations for over fifteen years in the areas of fundraising and strategic and development planning.  She is also coordinator of Opus & Olives, the annual fundraising event for The Friends, which is recognized as one of the most successful author and fundraising events in the country.

Hall is one of the authors of the recently-released Beyond Book Sales: Raising Real Money for Your Library, published by ALA Publications.
