Joanna Nelson Rendón is an adult services manager and teen librarian for Pikes Peak Library District, Colorado Springs, Colo. She is an adjunct professor for the University of Denver’s MLIS program and is on the Program Advisory Board. Joanna serves on the Colorado Association of Libraries' Leadership Development Committee and chaired the Continuing Education Committee. She is a blogger for Public Libraries Online. She also presents at conferences and workshops on a variety of topics. Joanna is a member the Colorado Association of Libraries, American Library Association, Public Library Association, and the Young Adult Library Services Association. Joanna loves hiking, salsa dancing, and, of course, reading!
Elaine Black is the director for Youth Services at Georgia Public Library Service, Georgia's state library. Prior to joining GPLS in 2007, she was the Events and Outreach manager at the Gwinnett County Public Library in suburban Atlanta.
Crystal Schimpf is a librarian, trainer, and consultant. As founder of Kixal, she provides innovative, transformative training for libraries on a wide range of topics. She has facilitated online and in-person training for Project Outcome since 2015. She has also provided training on projects for the Urban Libraries Council’s Edge Initiative, the International City/County Management Association's performance measurement project ICMA Insights, TechSoup’s monthly webinar series for libraries, Infopeople’s Building an Effective Learning Culture project, and the R-Squared Conference. She regularly presents workshops at conferences regionally and nationally on topics including digital literacy, outcome measurement, instructional design, storytelling, and advocacy.
