CPLA Courses Offered by PLA

PLA, an approved provider of Certified Public Library Administrator (CPLA) courses, presents two-day workshops designed to meet both the requirements for CPLA certification and the needs of library managers wanting to enhance their management skills. Enrollment in the CPLA program is not required to attend.

These professional development workshops are interactive and are designed to be practical rather than theoretical. They include a variety of interactive, group exercises. Librarians pursuing CPLA certification will be required to take a post-test and will be asked to do outside readings or complete a project.

For more information on the Certified Public Library Administrator program, visit the CPLA website. If you would like to partner with PLA to host a PLA CPLA library management course in your area, e-mail Amy Sargent Lundy, Manager of Professional Development, at asargent@ala.org for more information.
