ELL Practitioners Panel: Innovations in Community Engagement
Originally recorded on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 from 12:30-1:30 pm CT, this free, hour-long webinar features Patricia Barch with the Schaumburg Township District Library in Schaumburg, Ill. and Carmen Patlan with the Waukegan Public Library in Waukegan, Ill., as they discuss tips, tools, resources, and best practices for serving English language learners. Both presenters are participants in the third round of The American Dream Starts @ your library®, a grant initiative funded by the Dollar General Literacy Foundation and administered by the ALA Office for Diversity, Literacy and Outreach Services.
Attendees will learn about tips, tools, resources and model practices on serving English language learners from two successful programs in dynamic libraries in suburban Chicago.
