Aligned Learning through Modern Board Games

The idea of making board games available in libraries isn’t new, but the concept of aligning them with the curriculum is. According to Mayer and Harris, modern games—often called designer games—offer many more opportunities for combining fun and learning than educational games or old-fashioned board games, where the most exciting part of play is rolling the dice.
