This is a list of the various newsletters, magazines, and journals published within the American Library Association, including those which are only available online. This list is in alphabetical order by title.

A brief profile is offered of each title, including the ISSN, the publishing frequency per year, the subscription cost per year, and contact information for placing a subscription order. Availability of a website and RSS feed is indicated, as are the titles with advertising opportunities, print and online.

ALCTS News. An official publication of the Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS). It replaced the ALCTS Newsletter Online (ISSN 1523-018X) in September 2013; that publication replaced the ALCTS Newsletter (ISSN 1047-949X) in December 1998. Booklist. ALA's integrated print/online resource for collection development and readers’ advisory. There are seven Booklist Online free e-newsletters available:

    - Booklandia is a free, bimonthly newsletter that keeps subscribers updated on trends in YA literature through a mix of original feature articles and selected Booklist reviews of notable YA titles, as well as offering informative, entertaining, and often edgy commentary on the YA scene.

    - Booklist Online Exclusives offers links to the full text of reviews and features published exclusively on Booklist Online. These reviews enhance Booklist's already extensive print coverage and carry the same imprimatur as Booklist reviews. This free e-newsletter includes all web-exclusive content published on Booklist Online during the previous calendar month. You will receive 12 newsletters per year.

    - Booklist Online Video Review is a bimonthly digital newsletter featuring new reviews of videos for adults and youth. Booklist’s video coverage is an essential resource for public and school librarians, and now, with Booklist Online Video Review, subscribers can get that same trusted content delivered straight to their in-box. This newsletter mails approximately 6 times per year.

    - Booklist Online's Corner Shelf: Where Readers' Advisory meets Collection Development. This free bimonthly newsletter addresses trends, ideas, and issues in the two areas, helping librarians find the common ground between them. Original writing by respected experts, as well as in-the-trenches looks at new products and what's coming up.

    - Booklist's Bookmakers periodic e-newsletter focuses on the story behind the story of a single publishing house.

    - Booklist's Quick Tips for Schools & Libraries delivers easy, practical ideas and activities that help you integrate children's and young-adult books into the curriculum, and many of the resources may already be on your shelves. With thematic bibliographies, author interviews, and useful ideas for connecting kids and books, each monthly e-newsletter also features a sneak peek at what's coming up in future issues of Book Links and Booklist magazines. You will receive approximately 12 newsletters per year.

    - REaD Alert shares links to Booklist's most interesting book reviews and articles. This free e-newsletter also alerts you that the latest issue of Booklist has been published on Booklist Online—and mails before print subscribers receive their copy of the magazine. You will receive approximately 20 newsletters per year.

Children and Libraries: The Journal of the Association for Library Service to Children. Official journal of the Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC). Published three times a year. CAL will come out in Spring (March), Summer (June), Fall (September), and Winter (December). The digital version will be available through Metapress (http://www.metapress.com), an e-publishing host.   • ITALica Blog is open to all readers of ITAL. The ITAL blog was created in August 2008 to facilitate a dialog between readers of ITAL and its authors and editors. Articles appearing in ITAL will be open for discussion for a period of time after the publication of each issue. The Editorial Board of LITA's Information Technology and Libraries have attempted to create an environment in which readers can discuss each issue of ITAL. We'll ask the authors of the articles to monitor the discussion for a period of time after publication so that you'll have a chance to interact with them, too. Comments?
