Mission

Our mission is to contribute to the association’s achievement of its strategic goals through the effective use of its people. We provide the association with coordinated, proactive quality services that support their business goals and objectives and are consistent with Human Resources Management principles. Working with individual business units, our staff provides expertise in problem solving, planning, and direct services in the following areas: employee relations, organizational development, strategic planning, compensation/benefits, and employee development/staffing/recruitment, to produce business-oriented results.

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate the most cost effective benefit programs
  • Federal and local regulatory compliance
  • Ensuring equity in our pay practices
  • Identifying and using diverse sources of recruitment
  • Efficiently process and maintain employee records and data

Initiatives & Projects

  • Research, create, and implement strategic benefit initiatives
  • Enhance recruiting initiatives, develop new resources, and expand ALA outreach
  • Continued development of comprehensive onboarding program and the implementation of a fully integrated, comprehensive Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
