by Michelle Millet

Michelle Millet is currently the NMRT Networking Director. She received a BA and a MA in History from Florida Atlantic University and her MLS from the University of South Florida. Her first professional job was as Reference and Outreach Librarian at the University of Montana. In 2003, she moved San Antonio, TX, where she is the Information Literacy Coordinator at Trinity University.

Michelle joined NMRT in 2003, while still a student. The first committee she participated in was the Student and Student Chapter Outreach Committee. Since then, she has participated on the ad hoc committee for Resource Allocation and chaired the Publicity Committee and the Nominating Committee. The NMRT Networking Director is her first board position.

Her favorite thing about NMRT is nurturing the next generation of librarians; helping new librarians get the skills needed to be the next generation of leaders. She particularly enjoys reaching out to current library school students. After five years in the profession, she is still passionate about it.

Michelle is married to Michael and they have an almost 2 year old daughter, Grace.
