Less than two weeks left to register for popular technology trainer course with PLA

CHICAGO – On Oct. 28, the interactive online course, “The Accidental Public Library Technology Trainer,” returns. The deadline to register is Oct. 25. This four-week (Oct. 28-Nov. 22) blended-learning program presented by the Public Library Association (PLA) is designed for public library professionals who have unexpectedly found themselves responsible for technology training of users or staff at their library.

CHICAGO - The Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) opened registration for fall 2013 ALSC online courses. Registration is open for all courses. Classes begin Monday, Oct. 7, 2013.

This fall, ALSC is offering four courses that are eligible for certified education units (CEUs). The American Library Association (ALA) has been certified to provide CEUs by the International Association of Continuing Education and Training (IACET)
