CHICAGO – With three preconferences and nearly 20 programs, the Public Library Association (PLA) is offering an array of programming dedicated to public library staff attending the 2014 ALA Annual Conference in Las Vegas.
Things get started from 8:30 a.m. - noon on Friday, June 27, with three half-day preconferences:

On Sunday, June 29, 2014, copyright experts will discuss digital access and mass digitization projects during "Copyright and Digitization+," a conference session that takes place during the 2014 American Library Association Annual Conference in Las Vegas. The conference will be held from 3:00-4:00 p.m.
PHILADELPHIA — United for Libraries will present “First Author, First Book: Veteran and Rookies,” 8:30-10 a.m. on Sunday, June 29 at the ALA Annual Conference in Las Vegas.
This traditional event, which will feature a continental breakfast, will include first time authors Adi Alsaid, Kimberly Elkins, Oscar Goodman and Jim McGinty, joined by veteran author Will Thomas. The program will be moderated by Barbara Hoffert, editor of Library Journal’s “Prepub Alert.” An author book signing will follow.
LAS VEGAS—Hear about current copyright policy challenges and developments at the session "Copyright Hot Topics and Big Ideas," a conference program that will be held at the 2014 American Library Association Annual Conference in Las Vegas.
