ORLANDO — The Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) announced that the 2017 May Hill Arbuthnot Committee has selected the South Carolina State Library and the city of Columbia, South Carolina to serve as the host site for the 2017 May Hill Arbuthnot Honor Lecture featuring Jacqueline Woodson. The lecture will be held in the spring of 2017.

CHICAGO, June 8, 2016 — The Library Leadership and Management Association--Public Relations and Marketing Section (LLAMA-PRMS) PR Xchange Committee is delighted to announce the winners of this year’s PR Xchange Awards Competition for library promotional materials. Over 390 entries in print and electronic formats were submitted from over 100 institutions, including public, academic, school, state and special libraries. Entries were appraised by a jury of 17 marketing professionals on the quality of content, format, design, creativity and originality.
