Meet the 2015 class of Emerging Leaders at a poster session during ALA Annual Conference

CHICAGO — Attendees of the American Library Association’s (ALA) 2015 Annual Conference in San Francisco are invited to meet the 2015 class of Emerging Leaders (EL) at a poster session and reception from 3 - 4 p.m. on Friday, June 26, 2015.

The ALA 2015 class of ELs will showcase their final projects at the poster session, which will take place in the Moscone Convention Center, room 3014-3016W.  All are welcomed and encouraged to attend.  Light refreshments will be served.

Have a professional photo taken at ALA Annual Conference

CHICAGO — An exciting service is now part of the ALA JobLIST Placement Center. The JobLIST Placement Center offers all conference attendees the opportunity to have a "headshot" photo package created.  Any attendee can sign up for an appointment with ALA's conference photography team to have a professional photo taken and set of digital images created for the attendees' use in job applications, social media and other networking opportunities. CHICAGO — As part of its continuing efforts to help job seekers and employers make connections, the ALA JobLIST Placement Center will host an Open House/Job Fair from 10:30 a.m. – noon on Sunday, June 28 from in the JobLIST Placement Center during the ALA 2015 Annual Conference in San Francisco.  The JobLIST Placement Center will be located in the Moscone convention Center – 104N.

AASL opens registration for its 17th National Conference & Exhibition

CHICAGO – Registration is now open for the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) 17th National Conference & Exhibition. The conference, themed “Experience Education Evolution,” will be held Nov. 5-8, 2015, in Columbus, Ohio, and is the only national conference dedicated solely to the needs of school librarians and their roles as educational leaders.
