CHICAGO — Best-selling author and student advocate, Jonathan Kozol, will speak during the American Association of School Librarians’ (AASL) President’s Program at the ALA 2013 Annual Conference in Chicago. Kozol’s presentation, preceded by a brief membership meeting, will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 29.
PHILADELPHIA — United for Libraries, along with ALA Conference Services, will sponsor a Spotlight on Adult Literature from 2 to 4 p.m. Pacific time on Saturday, Jan. 26 at the Washington State Convention Center Exhibit Hall at the 2013 ALA Midwinter Meeting in Seattle.
Participating publishers will host book and galley giveaways, author signings and more.

CHICAGO - Free career counseling sessions and resume review help will be provided from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 26 and 27, 2013 in the ALA JobLIST Placement Center during the American Library Association’s (ALA) Midwinter Meeting in Seattle. The sessions will be held in the JobLIST Placement Center which will be located on Level 4, Hall E, in the front of Aisle 300 of the Washington State Convention Center.
