College & Research Libraries to transition to online-only publishing model

CHICAGO — College & Research Libraries (C&RL), the official scholarly research journal of the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), will adopt an online-only publication model beginning in January 2014. The November 2013 issue will be the final print issue of the journal. C&RL is freely available as an open access online publication.

New from ACRL: '2011 Academic Library Trends and Statistics'

CHICAGO The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) announces the publication of  “2011 Academic Library Trends and Statistics,” the latest in a series of annual publications that describe the collections, staffing, expenditures and service activities of academic libraries in all Carnegie classifications. The three-volume set includes Associate of Arts institutions, Master's Colleges and Universities/Baccalaureate Colleges and Research/Doctoral-granting Institutions.

New Diversity Standards: Cultural Competency for Academic Libraries from ACRL

CHICAGO — The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Board of Directors has approved new “Diversity Standards: Cultural Competency for Academic Libraries.” Developed by the ACRL Racial and Ethnic Diversity Committee, the standards emphasize the need and obligation for academic and research libraries to serve, and advocate for, racial and ethnically diverse constituencies.
