Sheble receives ACRL CJCLS EBSCO Community College Learning Resources Leadership Award

CHICAGO – The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), is pleased to announce that Mary Ann Sheble, dean of learning resources at Oakland Community College Libraries, has been chosen to receive the 2015 Community and Junior College Libraries Section (CJCLS) EBSCO Community College Learning Resources Leadership Award.

The $750 award and plaque, donated by EBSCO Information Services, will be presented to Sheble on Friday, June 26, 2015, at the ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco.

Reference librarian Rebecca Kohn named winner of the Your Best Choice contest

MIDDLETOWN, CONN.  Choice, the premier review journal for new English-language books and digital resources for academic libraries, today announced San Jose State University reference librarian Rebecca Kohn as the winner of its “Your Best Choice” contest.  As contest winner, Kohn will be the recipient of a trip to the 2015 ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco.

Goebel wins 2015 ACRL WGSS Significant Achievement Award

CHICAGO – Nancy Goebel, head librarian at the Augustana Campus of the University of Alberta, is the winner of the 2015 Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) Women and Gender Studies Section (WGSS) Award for Significant Achievement in Women and Gender Studies Librarianship. The WGSS award honors a significant or one-time contribution to women and gender studies librarianship.

A plaque will be presented to Goebel at the WGSS program on Monday, June 29, during the ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco.
