New ASCLA online course offers alternative method of understanding the visitor experience

CHICAGO — The Reader-friendly Library - evaluating the visitor experience,” a new online course hosted by the Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASCLA), offers participants a range of reader-centered research tools, supporting material and background theory and puts them all to use in the learners’ own libraries.

ASCLA announces new editor for its quarterly newsletter, Interface

CHICAGO — The Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies, (ASCLA) a division of the American Library Association, (ALA) announces its new editor for Interface, ASCLA’s newsletter, Christina C. Wray.  She is a librarian at the Center for Disability Information and Referral, a research center of the Office of the Vice Provost for Research at Indiana University Bloomington.

ASLCA announces Sara Ahmed as the 2015 Emerging Leader

Nomination period now open for ASCLA awards recognizing service to profession and outstanding service to special populations

CHICAGO — The Association for Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASCLA) is accepting nominations for its 2015 awards program, including the Leadership and Professional Achievement Award, the Exceptional Service Award, the Cathleen Bourdon Service Award, the ASCLA/KLAS/NOD Award and the Francis Joseph Campbell Medal. The deadline for submissions is Feb. 8, 2015.
