CHICAGO — The Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies’ (ASCLA) Library Consultants Interest Group and the Public Library Association (PLA) are teaming up again to offer “Consultants Give Back” at the PLA 2014 Conference 12:30-3:30 p.m., Friday, March 14, in the Indiana Convention Center, Room 244-245.

PLA 2014 Virtual Conference brings learning and networking to your desktop

CHICAGO — Registration for the PLA 2014 Virtual Conference is now open. On March 13-14, 2014, the Public Library Association (PLA) will share a condensed, live and online PLA Conference with public librarians and public library workers who can’t make the trip to Indianapolis.

PLA 2014 Early Bird Registration extended to Jan. 17

CHICAGO – In recognition of the deep freeze and snow that overtook much of the U.S. this past week, the Public Library Association (PLA) is offering the Chilly Bird Extension — a week-long extension of PLA 2014 Early Bird Registration. The new deadline is noon CT on Friday, Jan. 17.

Early Bird Registration is available to all PLA members as well as Indiana Library Federation (ILF) members. It offers a special price of $230 for a full five days of PLA 2014 Conference. That’s a savings of $120 over ALA members and $195 over nonmembers.

Early Bird promotion for PLA 2014 offers chance to win set of 16 signed books from Green, Pauley, Sedaris and others

CHICAGO – The Public Library Association (PLA), with generous support from several publishers, has kicked off the Sweet 16 Early Bird Promotion for the PLA 2014 Conference, March 11-15, in Indianapolis. Individuals who register by the Early Bird deadline of Jan 10 will be automatically entered to win one set of 16 signed books from published PLA 2014 Special Event speakers. PLA has five sets of books to give away.

PLA offering video contest to win registration and travel to PLA 2014

CHICAGO – The Public Library Association (PLA) has just announced a new contest for two library professionals to win their way to the PLA 2014 Conference, March 11-15, in Indianapolis. The contest requires participants to submit a 60-second (or less) video telling PLA why they want to attend PLA 2014. CHICAGO — The Public Library Association (PLA) 2014 Conference, March 11-15, Indianapolis, will get off to a powerful start with Bryan Stevenson, founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI), as the Opening Session keynote speaker. The PLA Conference Opening Session will take place 2:30 - 4 p.m., Wed., March 12, at the Indiana Convention Center.
