NMRT Resume Review Service extended

CHICAGO — The New Members Round Table (NMRT) is now extending its Resume Review Service for the month of June. Previously offered during ALA conferences and year round to NMRT members, the service, offered from now until the end of June, enables both ALA and non-ALA members alike to submit resumes and cover letters to experienced reviewers for in-depth feedback to better assist them in their job searching. This decision is in response to the significant increase in unemployment across the country due to COVID-19 and to better assist recent graduates currently entering the job market. Individuals can send their resume, cover letter, and other professional materials to resumereviewnmrt@gmail.com. 

Past resume review services that normally take place at the ALA Career Placement Center during Midwinter and Annual conferences will not take place during the ALA Virtual Event in June. A separate Placement Center event is in the process of being planned for late summer.

The Resume Review Committee is also currently accepting applications for resume reviewers and looking for committee members for 2020-2021. If interested, please email Angel at resumereviewnmrt@gmail.com.
