BRYN MAWR, Pennsylvania — United for Libraries President Susan Schmidt will host the President’s Program featuring bestselling author Andy Weir, part of the Auditorium Speaker Series, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Monday, June 26 at the ALA Annual Conference in Chicago.

Weir built a career as a software engineer until the runaway success of his debut novel, “The Martian,” allowed him to write fulltime. He is a lifelong space nerd and a devoted hobbyist of subjects such as relativistic physics, orbital mechanics, and the history of manned spaceflight.

The program will be held at the McCormick Place West, W375B/Skyline Ballroom. A signing will follow. This program is sponsored by Penguin Random House.
