CHICAGO — The Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) is now accepting online applications for the Strengthening Communities Through Libraries Minigrants. These grants are made possible by a generous donation from the Dollar General Literacy Foundation.

Proposals should include programming that strengthens community opportunities for STEAM learning during school breaks. ALSC will award twelve $5,000 Strengthening Communities Through Libraries minigrants to members in public libraries and develop supplemental resources that will be made widely available to support the out-of-school time programming of libraries and other community organizations.

Applicants must be personal members of ALSC and recipient libraries must be within 20 miles of a Dollar General location. For more information and to apply for the Strengthening Communities Through Libraries Minigrant, please visit ALSC’s Grants and Corporate Partnerships page.
