ALCTS calls for proposals for 2017 Virtual Forum: ALCTS Exchange
For Immediate Release
CHICAGO — The ALCTS Exchange is now accepting proposals for its 2017 virtual forum. As a fully online interactive forum, the ALCTS Exchange will give participants the opportunity to share the latest research, trends and developments in technical services and collection management in an innovative, creatively engaging, virtual environment. The ALCTS Exchange Working Group welcomes proposals for the May 2017 forum that highlight the innovation happening in the profession as well as reflect on the progress made in past decades.
Proposal topics should be relevant to the overarching theme, Embracing the Past, Building the Future, as well as the daily themes for each session.
Proposals will be evaluated on the following four points:
The deadline for first consideration is Dec. 2, and proposals submitted after Dec. 9 will not be accepted. Proposal submitters will be notified by early February 2017. Proposals can be submitted using the Presentation Proposal Form.
If you still have questions about the submission process and what the ALCTS Exchange Working Group is looking for, sign up for the ALCTS Exchange: Preparing a Persuasive Proposal webinar on October 24 at 1 pm CT and get an in-depth look at what it takes to produce a solid proposal.
The ALCTS Exchange is presented by the Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS), a division of the American Library Association. An international member-driven association, ALCTS engages the library community on issues and policies that affect the acquisition, management, discovery and preservation of library collections.
