ALZAD for Digital Archiving selected as distributor for ALA subscription services in Middle East

CHICAGO — The American Library Association (ALA) is pleased to announce that ALZAD for Digital Archiving (ALZAD) has been selected to serve as the distributor of ALA subscription services in the Middle East Region. ALZAD will be exhibiting at the upcoming SIBF-ALA Library Conference, Nov. 10-12, in conjunction with the Sharjah International Book Fair.
“We are excited to be partnering with ALZAD to make it easier for libraries in the Middle East region to access ALA’s award winning subscription services,” said Michael Dowling, director, ALA International Relations Office.
RDA Toolkit is an integrated, browser-based, online product that allows users to interact with a collection of cataloging-related documents and resources including RDA: Resource Description and Access. RDA: Resource Description and Access is the new standard for resource description and access designed for the digital world.
Booklist Online is the web version of the Booklist print magazine, offers the most reliable reviews to help public and school libraries decide what to buy and to help library patrons and students decide what to read, view, or listen to. Booklist Online provides 8,000 new reviews a year, and access to more than 160,000 reviews and thousands of features.
ALA Techsource includes two great publications, Library Technology Reports (LTR) and Smart Libraries Newsletter. LTR helps librarians make informed decisions about technology products and projects. Smart Libraries Newsletter presents news and analysis on products, vendors, and new developments library automation marketplace.
