New platform for ALA's online journal content
For Immediate Release
CHICAGO — ALA TechSource has launched a new electronic archive and delivery platform for Library Technology Reports (LTR) and Smart Libraries Newsletter (SLN) using the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. You will be able to access the journals and newsletters via http://journals.ala.org/ltr (LTR) and http://journals.ala.org/sln (SLN).
This is the first phase of making these journals more accessible for our users online. The second phase will include the OJS site being connected to subscription platform. These steps will make accessing our journals more user-friendly.
To celebrate the launch of this new platform, we are offering a special promotion on LTR and SLN online access to new subscribers. Purchase access to ALA TechSource Online (LTR and SLN) for only $99 (normally $249 for new subscribers) by clicking here. This promotion is good through June 30, 2015 and upon purchase, will give you online access to both journals for 15 months from the purchase date.
Additional ALA journals that have migrated to this new platform include:
- Children & Libraries (ALSC)
- Library Resources & Technical Services (ALCTS)
- Newsletter on Intellectual Freedom (OIF)
- Reference & User Services Quarterly (RUSA)
