LLAMA Seeking Library Building Awards jurors

CHICAGO — The LLAMA Buildings and Equipment Section (BES) is seeking jurors for the 2016 ALA/AIA Library Buildings Awards competition. Jointly sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the prestigious competition recognizes excellence in the architectural design and planning of libraries.

The 2016 Juror Application is due via email by Jan. 23, 2015. The BES Library Building Awards Committee will select a diverse set of jurors based on type of library, geographic area, experiences with building projects and previous jury experience. Applicants are required to be ALA/LLAMA members.

Anticipated time commitments for selected jurors include:
•    attending jury orientation at the 2015 ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco;
•    virtual review and discussion of entries, and selection of winning projects in early 2016;
•    attending the Awards Presentation Program at the 2016 ALA Annual Conference Orlando, and participating in the orientation for new jurors.
