PHILADELPHIA — Stephanie Evanovich and Issa Rae will join the lineup of authors at United for Libraries’ “The Laugh’s On Us," sponsored by SAGE, featuring standup comedian and author Paula Poundstone, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 29 at the ALA Annual Conference in Las Vegas.

Evanovich is the New York Times-bestselling author of “Big Girl Panties” and the forthcoming “The Sweet Spot” (William Morrow/HarperCollins). Rae, who has more than 150,000 YouTube subscribers, is the creator of the hit web series “The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl,” and will publish a book with the same title with Simon & Schuster in 2015.

Poundstone is a frequent panelist for NPR’s “Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!” Poundstone was the first woman to win an ACE Award for Best Standup Comedy performance and the first woman to be invited to perform at the distinguished White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner. An outspoken advocate for libraries, she works with Friends of the Library groups around the country to help them raise funds and raise awareness of the importance of libraries.

“The Laugh’s On Us” will also feature Eric Kaplan, executive co-producer of the number-one-rated CBS sitcom “The Big Bang Theory” and author of “Does Santa Exist? A Careful Philosophical Investigation” (Penguin), and Anthony Breznican, a senior staff writer for “Entertainment Weekly” and author of “Brutal Youth” (Macmillan/St. Martin’s Press).

Wine and cheese will be served, and a book signing will follow. Advance tickets to “The Laugh’s On Us," sponsored by SAGE, cost $55, $49 for United for Libraries division members (event code UNI1). Onsite tickets cost $60. Early ticket purchase is recommended as the event often sells out.

The event is sponsored by United for Libraries corporate supporter SAGE Publications, Inc.
