ALA councilors elected

CHICAGO 33 members have been elected as Councilors-at-Large on the Council of the American Library Association (ALA) for three-year terms. The terms begin at the conclusion of the 2014 ALA Annual Conference in Las Vegas and extend through the end of the 2017 ALA Annual Conference in Chicago.

The 2014 - 2017 Councilors-at-Large are:

Roberto C. Delgadillo and Xudong Jin were also elected as Councilors-at-Large for a one-year term to begin at the end of the 2014 Annual Conference in Las Vegas and expire at the end of the 2015 ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco.

Liz Philippi was elected as a Councilor-at-Large for 13-month term to begin immediately and expire at the end of the 2015 ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco.

ALA Division and Round Table Councilors elected for 2014-2017 include:

  • Association for Library Collections and Technical Services (ALCTS): Andrew Hart
  • Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA): Emily Bergman
  • Public Library Association (PLA):Rivkah K. Sass
  • Ethnic and Multicultural Information Exchange Round Table (EMIERT): Catharine A. Bomhold
  • New Members Round Table (NMRT): Rachael Altman

Haipeng Li was elected as the International Relations Round Table Councilor for a 13-month term to begin immediately and expire at the end of the 2015 ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco.
