'Divergent' poster and other hot new materials in new ALA Graphics catalog
For Immediate Release
CHICAGO – Many exciting new products that are bound to inspire and excite readers in schools and libraries across the nation are included in the ALA Graphics Spring 2014 catalog. Spotlighted on the cover is a new celebrity READ poster featuring Shailene Woodley, who stars as Beatrice “Tris” Prior in the upcoming film adaptation of Veronica Roth’s wildly popular novel “Divergent.” The movie hits theaters on March 21.
Three characterful new posters with accompanying bookmarks are also launching. “Read! It’s our only hope!” Materials showcasing Tom Angleberger’s “Princess Labelmaker to the Rescue,” the newest installment in the ever-popular Origami Yoda series, are fun reminders of the power of books.
LEGO® minifigure Emmet, the heroic star of “The LEGO® Movie,” poses with his pal Wyldstyle and declares, “Reading is Awesome!” on a new poster and bookmark. These materials are perfect for building excitement around the movie’s release on Feb. 7 and year round for inviting patrons to read, play, build and discover the awesome things that libraries offer.
Brainy pooch Mr. Peabody and his best friend Sherman tell patrons “Any time, any place, and anything is possible when you open a book.” Using their time-traveling “WABAC” machine (pronounced “way back,” of course) they embark on adventures that span the ages in their new movie, opening on March 7.
ALA Graphics supports the mission of the American Library Association through the creation and distribution of quality products promoting libraries, literacy, and reading.
