Learn improv fundamentals with Second City Communications - a Learning Round Table preconference
For Immediate Release
CHICAGO - Basic communication and listening skills are the foundation for a successful business, yet people rarely have the opportunity to grow and develop their communication skills.
Those attending the American Library Association (ALA) Annual Conference will get such an opportunity by attending a preconference workshop with Chicago's Second City Communications.
Join your colleagues for this half-day event – held from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, June 28, 2013 from at Second City Communications, 1616 N Wells St. Chicago.
This workshop explores essential components for effective communication, using improv methodology as a template for learning and discussion. Through improv, you can hone and develop your ability listen, share information clearly and create an environment that fosters and encourages communication.
Imagine a training session where the group is engaged with each other from the first word. Where fun and laughter is the rule, not the exception, and real world situations are brought to life to get the group thinking of new ways to behave. Picture the use of Web-based social learning and multimedia to grasp the attention of employees boggled down by day-to-day work. All of this is possible through the work of Second City Communications.
