CHICAGO – At 1 pm CST, April 3, the Public Library Association (PLA) is offering a free webinar, “PLAmetrics: How to Make Public Library Data Work for You.” This is a unique opportunity to explore and learn more about PLAmetrics, an online report database accessing more than 10 years of data from the Public Library Data Service (PLDS) Statistical Report and the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Appropriate for both PLAmetrics subscribers or those just interested in using public library data to enhance library planning and implementation, this interactive webinar will offer insights into what kind of data is available, tips to navigate it and how to create custom data reports.

PLAmetrics is available through an annual subscription for $250. Subscribers have access to data and custom report templates. Data can be employed for peer comparisons, benchmarking and/or trend analyses, as well as to meet local, custom needs.

For more information about PLAmetrics or PLA, contact the PLA office at (800) 545-2433, ext. 5PLA, or visit PLA’s website at www.pla.org. PLA is a division of the American Library Association. PLA’s core purpose is to strengthen public libraries and their contribution to the communities they serve. Its mission is to enhance the development and effectiveness of public library staff and public library services.
