Sweet, Vaccaro Seeger to take part in 75th Caldecott Anniversary Facebook Forums

CHICAGO — The Association for Library Service to Children (ALSC) is announcing two more 75th Caldecott Facebook Forums. In January, ALSC will host Melissa Sweet, and in February, Laura Vaccaro Seeger will be the guest.

Melissa Sweet will take part in the 75th Caldecott Facebook Forum at 11 a.m. Eastern time on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013. Sweet won a Caldecott Honor in 2009 for her illustrations in the book "A River of Words: The Story of William Carlos Williams," written by Jen Bryant.

Laura Vaccaro Seeger will participate in the 75th Caldecott Facebook Forum at 11 a.m. Eastern time on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013. Seeger won a Caldeoctt Honor in 2008 for "First the Egg."

As part of the Forum, ALSC will interview Sweet and Vaccaro Seeger about their Caldecott experiences. This event is open to the public, and a Facebook account is not required to view the event. The 75th Caldecott Facebook Forums are part of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Caldecott Medal.
