ALTAFF to host ‘Historical Fiction @ your library’ at ALA Annual Conference

PHILADELPHIA — ALTAFF will host “Historical Fiction @ your library” from 10:30 a.m.-noon PDT at the Anaheim Convention Center, 202A, on Saturday, June 23 at the 2012 ALA Annual Conference in Anaheim, Calif.
Historical fiction is popular in libraries of all types. Come listen to best-selling authors talk about their latest books. Featured authors will be:
- poet and novelist Regina O’Melveny ("The Book of Madness and Cures," Little Brown & Co./Hachette, April 2012);
- best-selling author Gail Tsukiyama ("A Hundred Flowers," St. Martin's Press/Macmillan, Aug. 2012);
- Jeri Westerson, author of the Crispin Guest Medieval noir series ("Blood Lance," Minotaur Books/Macmillan, Oct. 2012);
- Jean Zimmerman, author of critically acclaimed nonfiction that focuses on the changing role of women in America ("The Orphanmaster," Viking/Penguin, June 2012).
The program will be moderated by Barbara Hoffert, editor of Library Journal’s Prepub Alert. An author signing will follow. Some books will be given away and others will be sold at a generous discount.
