CHICAGO –  With the success of "The Hunger Games" trilogy, teens and adults are equally excited about the movie’s upcoming release. Here are just a few ideas of how librarians across the country are tapping into readers' enthusiasm.

A "survival training class" and Capitol fashion show are among the scheduled programs for the "One Book, One Community" project offered by the Livingston County (Mich.) libraries.  Other programming will include a book and movie discussion for adults and teens, an archery demonstration and a food drive with the theme, "Hunger is No Game."

Three Rivers Public Library of Channahon, Ill., kicks off spring break week with an all day The Hunger Games @ your library event. The event is open to students in grades 7-12 and will test teens' archery skills, their Hunger Games trivia knowledge and their skills as Capitol-style stylists.

The James Kennedy Public Library of Dyersville, Iowa, plans to bring Suzanne Collins book to life with The Hunger Games @ your library. Area teens in grades 7-12 are invited to the library for an after-hours event, where "district" teams will compete for prizes.

The Pima County (Ariz.) Public Library encourages tributes ages 10-17 to gear up for the upcoming movie release with The Hunger Games release party @ your library. Events will include survival and trivia games, target-shooting with mini popsicle stick bow and arrows and a decoration station where teens can put on Capitol-style makeup or practice their camouflage skills.

Liberty Hill (Texas) Public Library is offering Hunger Games tickets @ your library. The library, in partnership with a local movie theater, will sell discounted tickets for the opening night of The Hunger Games.
