ALA JobLIST Placement Center to host open house during Annual Conference in New Orleans

CHICAGO - As part of its continuing effort to help job seekers retool their skills and prepare for job searches in the current economy, the ALA JobLIST Placement Center will host an Open House from 10:30 a.m. - noon on Sunday, June 26 in the Placement Center during the American Library Association’s Annual Conference in New Orleans.
Representatives from various libraries and library-related companies will have an opportunity to talk about their individual work environments with conference attendees. They will discuss various aspects that make their institutions unique – such as work culture, facilities, sports, music, arts, campus and community life, etc. They will showcase the activities available in and around their institutions that highlight the quality of life.
The JobLIST Placement Center will be located in Hall J of the Morial Convention Center. Institutions/organizations interested in participating in the Open House should contact Beatrice Calvin at firstname.lastname@example.org no later than Friday, June 10, 2011 to reserve a table. There is no cost to participate in the Open House.
