CHICAGO — The Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), seeks a member manager for The Hub, its teen literature-focused blog. The Hub provides a one-stop-shop for teens and librarians to help them locate high quality audio, video and text content related to young adult literature. Applications for the member manager position are due June 1, 2011.

The member manager leads an advisory board that prepares content for the blog and solicits content from the YALSA community. Full details, including qualifications, duties and honoraria, are available online at The Hub. YALSA membership is required for this position. Applicants should provide a cover letter and a resume that includes management, writing and Web publishing experience. Familiarity with PHP, WordPress and social media preferred, but not required. Please note, this is a member volunteer position, with a small stipend and travel budget to attend ALA Midwinter Meeting and Annual Conference, not a salaried staff position.

Applications are due June 1 to yalsa@ala.org. Questions may be directed to Stephanie Kuenn at skuenn@ala.org.

For more than 50 years, YALSA has been the world leader in selecting books, videos and audiobooks for teens.  For more information about YALSA or for lists of recommended reading, viewing and listening, go to www.ala.org/yalsa/booklists, or contact the YALSA office by phone, (800) 545-2433, ext. 4390, or e-mail, yalsa@ala.org.
