Applications for ALTAFF’s Best Friends Awards due April 1

PHILADELPHIA – The Association of Library Trustees, Advocates, Friends and Foundations (ALTAFF), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), is accepting applications for the sixth annual Best Friends Awards. Applications are due April 1, 2011.
ALTAFF’s Best Friends Awards recognize Friends groups around the country for their print and electronic materials that promote the group and its special programs and projects. The awards do not evaluate the type or scope of Friends programs; rather, they look at the materials that promote programs and special projects coordinated by the Friends.
The winners will receive a certificate of recognition and be recognized in ALTAFF’s newsletter, The Voice. The winning materials will be posted on ALTAFF’s website.

- Print Newsletters
- Advocacy Materials
- Digital Publicity
- Program or Special Project Publicity
- Book Sales

Applicants must be ALTAFF Friends Group Members valid through June 2011.
