CHICAGO—The Association of Specialized and Cooperative Library Agencies (ASCLA) and the Chief Officers of State Library Agencies (COSLA) cordially invite Midwinter Meeting attendees to enjoy dessert in the company of colleagues at the ASCLA/COSLA reception.
The event, a Midwinter Meeting tradition co-sponsored by ASCLA and COSLA, is open to all meeting participants. Reception guests can take advantage of desserts, coffee and a cash bar while catching up with old colleagues and meeting new ones. Meeting attendees who work or are interested in the areas ASCLA serves—state library agencies; networks, cooperatives and consortia; specialized libraries such as those for the blind, deaf, hard of hearing and incarcerated populations; and independent librarians and library consultants—are especially encouraged to join the party and meet other professionals.
The reception will be held from 8-10 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 9, 2011, in the Manchester C Room of the Manchester Grand Hyatt, One Market Place, San Diego.
ASCLA, a division of the American Library Association (ALA), is a diverse organization of librarians, information science professionals and support staff who work in academic and public libraries, state agencies, specialized libraries and multi-type cooperatives, as well as those who are self-employed.
