Friends groups: Fill out a survey for a chance to win with ALTAFF
For Immediate Release
PHILADELPHIA – ALTAFF is conducting a survey for Friends groups at http://altaff.countingopinions.com through Sept. 30, 2010.
This survey will gather information about all types of Friends groups across the country.
All Friends groups - including groups that are already Friends Group Affiliates - who complete the survey will be entered in a drawing to win a free year as a Friends Group Affiliate with ALTAFF, as well as a copy of "Even More Great Ideas for Libraries and Friends."
ALTAFF is also asking for feedback about the services and resources ALTAFF provides to members and affiliates. Feedback from Friends groups will help ALTAFF develop future materials and resources to Friends groups.
The survey should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. It should be completed by the person with the most knowledge of the Friends group. Topics include organizational structure, executive committee structure, revenues, fund-raising activities, grants, library support, bookstores, advocacy and membership.
ALTAFF is a division of ALA with approximately 5,000 Friends of the Library, Trustee, Foundation and individual members and affiliates representing hundreds of thousands of library supporters. Begun in early 2009, the new division brings together Trustees, Friends, and Foundation members into a partnership that unites the voices of citizens for libraries to create a powerful force for libraries in the 21st century.
