Digital humanities in practice
CHICAGO—Digital humanities is a vibrant and increasingly important global field, drawing together a broad spectrum of disciplines. “Digital Humanities in Practice,” published by Facet Publishing and available through ALA Neal-Schuman, offers a cutting-edge and comprehensive introduction to the field. Editors Claire Warwick, Melissa Terras, and Julianne Nyhan gather expert guidance from leading academics and exciting international case studies to explore the possibilities and challenges that occur when culture and digital technologies intersect. Key topics covered include:
- Social media and crowd sourcing;
- 3D scanning and museums;
- User studies;
- Open access (OS) and online teaching of digital humanities;
- Books, texts and digital editing.
Warwick, Terras and Nyhan are all members of the UCL Centre for Digital Humanities, University College London.
