Introduce Henry Rollins at ACRL 2013
CHICAGO — The Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL) is holding a video contest in advance of the ACRL 2013 conference, to be held April 10-13, 2013, in Indianapolis. The association is seeking video applications from academic and research librarians to introduce keynote speaker Henry Rollins. The winner will prepare and present a five-minute live introduction of Rollins at the conference on April 11, meet Rollins in person and receive an invitation to the conference chairs’ reception at the Eiteljorg Museum.
To enter, simply post a video in the format of your choosing online (using YouTube or any other video hosting service), tag it with acrl2013 and complete the online entry form. Entrants will receive an email confirmation. The deadline for entries is 11:59 p.m. Central on Oct. 19.
A selection committee consisting of members of the ACRL 2013 Keynotes Committee as well as the ACRL manager of professional development and conference supervisor will choose the winning video. The committee will select the video they feel best demonstrates the ability to engage an audience, exhibits passion and knowledge of Rollins’ work and is fun to watch.
