Electronic petition form now available to office seekers

Individuals wishing to run for an ALA office by petition may now do so by means of an electronic petition form.  Interested parties may access the form at https://www.ala.org/template.cfm?template=/CFApps/epetition/index.cfm .  Here they can select the type of petition they wish to create and then obtain the required number of signatures electronically.  The form was designed to make the petition process easier, eliminating the need to physically carry paper petitions from person to person in order to obtain signatures.

Paper petitions will still be available from Lois Ann Gregory-Wood in the Council room at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center during the 2010 Midwinter Meeting.  Petition deadline is Jan. 29, 2010.
