CHICAGO – The ALCTS New Members Interest Group (ANMIG) announces its inaugural meeting at the ALA Midwinter Meeting in Boston on Saturday,  Jan. 16, 2010 from 10:30 a,m. – 12:00 p.m. The location will be announced at a future date.  Join the interest group’s ALA Connect space at:  http://connect.ala.org/node/85257

We want to hear from you!
We are encouraging new members to come and be heard. Share your values, interests and concerns. We will discuss any topic brought to the table.

Who’s Listening?
ALCTS leaders will be there to listen.  The open forum will give new members the opportunity to hear firsthand how ALCTS and its committees and interest groups are serving new members. Find the value in our activities, and initiatives.

What’s on the Agenda?

  • Create a set of goals to support the ANMIG charge
  • Establish a sense of community and interest group framework
  • Garner volunteer support for the community

We look forward to hearing from you.
The ALCTS New Members Interest Group is an “open” community. The ANMIG will be available on ALAConnect, Facebook and Twitter.  Please give us the opportunity to talk with you, help you and work with you.

We look forward to seeing you in January.

Please feel free to contact us with your suggestions, concerns and interests.  For more information check out the ALCTS New Members Interest Group Connect space at http://connect.ala.org/node/85257 or contact the chair, Keisha Manning, at keishamia@gmail.com.
