ALA Placement Center to provide career counseling during Midwinter Meeting

CHICAGO - The American Library Association (ALA) Placement Center will provide free career counseling sessions on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 16-17, 2010 during the American Library Association’s Midwinter Meeting in Boston.

As part of its efforts to help job seekers re-tool their skills and prepare for job searches, the ALA Placement Center will host Dr. Caitlin Williams, Ph.D
. Dr. Williams, a career development consultant and coach in San Jose, Calif., will provide 20-minute sessions to conference attendees. Caitlin works with individuals and organizations to create and implement professional development initiatives. She focuses on helping professionals leverage their talents in ways that truly make a difference. Dr. Williams teaches in the master’s program in Counselor Education at San Jose State University and is associate editor of National Career Development Association’s Career Convergence Organizations department.
