ALA Conference Services will begin accepting program proposals on June 1, 2018, for the 2019 ALA Annual Conference, to take place in Washington, D.C., June 20-25, 2019. Once again, proposals will be accepted via one submission site for all ALA Divisions, RoundTables, Committees and Offices.

The deadline to submit content will be August 31, 2018 12:00 Midnight (CST). Please use this submission site.

African Americans face distinct challenges when trying to uncover their ancestors' stories. This class covers the basic steps for getting started on the journey to reconnecting with your rich heritage. 

Modern authentication systems offer more security, improved and simplified analytics / reporting and improved user experience for managing access to collections by user group (library or institution) or user attribute (alumni, faculty, student, etc.). Libraries need to support research in personalized ways and from points unaffiliated with institutional networks.
