CHICAGO —Members of the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), elected Todd Krueger as the division’s next president-elect. Krueger will begin his term as president-elect in June 2018, becoming president for one year starting June 2019.

Krueger is currently a Selector in the Collection Development Department at the Baltimore County Public Library, in Towson, MD.

“It is an honor to have been chosen to become the next YALSA President-Elect!” said Krueger. “Given the staff leadership changes at both YALSA and ALA, this will be an exciting time for the organization. I look forward to both continuing the great work that has been our focus and also welcoming the ideas of new members to YALSA and those of former members whose energy has been missed in recent years."

In addition to a new president-elect, YALSA also elected a new division councilor, secretary, and three directors for the board.
