ALA/IIDA Award
The Competition
This biennial competition is co-sponsored by the American Library Association (ALA) and the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). The awards honor excellence in library interior design. Award winners demonstrate excellence in aesthetics, design, creativity, function, and satisfaction of the client’s objectives. The competition is managed by the LLAMA Buildings and Equipment Section (BES).

Winners
Winners and their clients are honored at the ALA Annual Conference in June 2012 in Anaheim. Winning entries are published in Contract and American Libraries, as well as other publications.

Juror Application
LLAMA/BES is now accepting juror applications for this prestigious awards competition. Please complete and return the below application by December 21, 2011. Selection of an awards jury considers the juror applicants’ experiences in terms of type of libraries represented, project sizes, geographic areas, and previous jury experiences. Applicants are required to be members of ALA/LLAMA/BES but may not be members of the LLAMA Board of Directors, the LLAMA BES Executive Committee, or the LLAMA BES Library Interior Design Awards Committee.
