 To encourage excellence in the architectural design and planning of libraries, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the American Library Association/Library Leadership and Management Association (ALA/LLAMA) created this award to distinguish accomplishments in library architecture.

2015 Awards Presentation

Winning projects will be honored in June 2015 at the ALA Annual Conference in San Francisco.

2016 Awards Juror Application

Applications are now being accepted for service on the 2016 Library Building Awards jury.  Completed applications are due January 23, 2015.  See the application form for more information.
