The Library Leadership and Management Association (LLAMA) strives to be the foremost organization working toward the development of leaders and managers in the library and information field. LLAMA recognizes that its members face constant change - technological, economic, political, and cultural - and will provide the tools they need to be successful in this dynamic environment. The LLAMA Endowment was created to support member needs in this ever-changing environment and to position LLAMA and its members to be players at the table in the library profession identifying, encouraging, and nurturing tomorrow's leaders and managers.
Since its founding in 1957, LLAMA's membership of more than 5,000 with a common interest in the leadership, management and administration of library and information organizations of all types, has worked diligently to advance its mission of promoting outstanding leadership and management practices and of identifying, encouraging, and nurturing tomorrow's leaders and managers.
LLAMA provides a full spectrum of programming, publications, and awards for its membership and the larger library/information community.
