Elizabeth Lane Lawley
Elizabeth Lane Lawley is a professor in the Department of Information Technology at the Rochester Institute of Technology, where she teaches multimedia technology, data communications, and current themes in information technology. She has been a member of LITA since receiving her MLIS from the University of Michigan in 1987, and has served as chair of the Microcomputer Users' Group and the Leadership Development Committee, Interest Group Coordinator, and as a member of the LITA Board and the TER Editorial Board. The demands of her job force her to stay current on a wide variety of information technologies, and she accomplishes that through regular reading of technology web sites, occasional perusal of print journals and trade magazines, and constant correspondence with her colleagues in library-focused organizations such as LITA and SPK.
